Camera Basics for Beginners
Learning a few basic camera controls can make photography much easier. Three important settings are aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
Aperture
Aperture controls how much light enters the lens. It also affects depth of field, which influences how much of a scene appears in focus.
Shutter Speed
Shutter speed controls how long the camera sensor receives light. Faster speeds can help capture moving subjects clearly, while slower speeds can create motion blur.
ISO
ISO changes the camera sensor's sensitivity to light. Higher ISO can help in darker scenes, but it can also introduce more image noise.
Tip: Practice changing one setting at a time so you can see how each control changes the final photograph.
